  • Chinese Chests & Trunks

Chinese chests, trunks & boxes come in an extraordinary variety of styles and sizes. Our collection of genuine antique Chinese chests offers a stylish and beautiful alternative to storage.

Traditionally, Chinese chests were usually constructed from elm, pine, leather, camphor wood or lacquered. Camphor wood chests were particularly popular due to their natural insect repelling nature. Black painted Chinese chests were often used for the Chinese opera and contained performers clothes.

Every chest tells a loving story and each and every piece can be used as blanket boxes or coffee tables.

Our genuine antique Chinese chests are restored by our artisan team and are always dated. Pieces date from 250 years old to pieces made up from old solid wood.
